Solent Transport and Trafi launched the UK’s first regional MaaS solution. The platform connects public transport and shared mobility services across the Solent Region on England’s south coast, namely cities of Portsmouth, Southampton, and Isle of Wight which is home to 1.3 million people.
The app features routing for buses, trains, ferries, bikes, e-scooter sharing and deep ticket integration. Carsharing services are coming soon.
A MaaS first for the UK
The country’s first-ever regional MaaS solution is part of a €34m government-funded Future Transport Zone (FTZ).
A sea of mobility options
Go by bus, bike, scooter or…a boat? Users of the Breeze App will find several ferry services included in routing options.
Championing behavioral research
Collaboration with The Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) will deliver actionable insights on MaaS behavior and adoption.
A to B – the best way
Smart routing helps users arrive in no time with the best combinations of mobility modes
“Convenient and comprehensive, the MaaS mobile app is not only a useful tool for people on the move, but will also give us important insights for improving existing services and offering new ones to make travel easier, smarter and greener.”
